Information collected

• Email updates: your email address, first name if provided, and your request to receive campaign news, publications, and action updates.
• Inquiries: your name, email address, and any organization, role, or message you provide when contacting us, including information previously submitted through our contact form.
• Donations: the amount, frequency, and processing-fee preference you select. Wix-hosted checkout and its payment providers collect the contact, billing, and payment information needed to complete your donation. Our website’s donation form does not ask for or receive your full payment-card number.
• Technical information: hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, and security or diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the website.

Please do not include medical records, HIV status, payment-card details, or other sensitive personal information in general inquiries. You do not need to provide health information to receive updates or support our work.

How information is used

Information submitted through the site is used to respond to inquiries, provide requested materials and updates, administer donations and related records, maintain the website, prevent misuse, and meet applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations.

Signing up for updates requests campaign communications. Submitting an inquiry is not the same as signing up for the updates list.

Service providers and disclosures

We use Wix for website services, form submissions, and donation checkout. Information is shared with the providers involved in delivering these services, including payment processing. Authorized people administering our communications, inquiries, and donations may access the information needed for those tasks. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.

Providers may process information outside your state or country. Their own policies explain their handling of information and applicable choices. See Wix’s privacy policy and the payment-provider notices shown at checkout.

Cookies and similar technologies

Retention and security

Retention depends on the purpose of the information, the services involved, and applicable obligations. For example, donation and transaction records may need to be retained for accounting or legal purposes after communications stop. No website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee complete security.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can ask to stop campaign emails, correct your details, or request access to or deletion of information you provided. Use an unsubscribe option where offered, or email info@modernhealthcode.org with the subject “Privacy request.” Use the email address associated with your submission so we can identify the relevant records.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some records may need to be retained for legal or accounting reasons. Privacy questions can also be sent to the same email address; you do not need to be a donor to contact us.

Links to other organizations lead to websites with their own privacy practices. This website is intended for adults, not children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us using the method above.
